Deborah was born in Washington, D.C., the granddaughter and great granddaughter of Scottish Methodist ministers. She is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with continued studies at Parsons School of Design in New York City.
Deborah began her career in corporate advertising, writing and designing advertisements, producing radio and television commercials, with additional freelance work at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. With a special interest in textile design, Deborah followed an extended career as a fabric designer in New York City with clients including Dan River Design, Echo Scarves, and Ralph Lauren.
Deborah now serves the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry teaching the Word of God. Her call came over 30 years ago during a communist revolution on the island of Grenada as she prepared, with missionaries, Sunday school material for the entire Caribbean.
She is married to Dr. Chauncey Crandall, and travels by his side evangelizing both nationally and internationally and serving through medical missions caring for the sick and needy. Deborah is founder, and with her husband, of the Chadwick Foundation reaching the hurting and the lost around the world. Their journey together has recently been published in the best-selling book, Raising the Dead, A Doctor Encounters the Miraculous.
